I have called Planned Parenthood and the woman who answered the phone confirmed this event is taking place sponsored by their education department.
The problem is that EC in Illinois still requires a prescription. They COULD have a qualified person on hand to write those presecriptions but unless people are planning on scheduling their "accidents" on May 10th, it's clear they are putting these drugs in circulation for future use and not relating to any current issues. This is in complete disregard of the law. The notice itself makes clear this as well.
In short, they are giving away this prescription drug for free without a prescription knowing full well it is going to be stockpiled. This is flagrantly illegal. The police have been notified.

I am opposed to the giving out of free emergency contraception. I ask you to not allow Planned Parenthood to do this.

Prochoice type things are totaly wrong. The child who was concieved has every right to life just as you an I do, shame be on everyone who helps end innocent life through emergency drugs to stop a pregnancy or abortion.

Interesting what you will unscreen and what you won't. It's a shame you continue to propagate the falsehoods surrounding emergency contraception. I respect your right to disagree with my opinion, but I don't respect you basing it on lies.

Unfortunately, this is hardly surprising. Planned Parenthood has cared little for laws before (like those regarding statutory rape and parental notification). Why should they start now?

Hey I called PP and they said they are going to have applications to fill out, and then they are going to have a nurse practitioner on duty. I dunno, it still sounds sketchy to me...
not to mention the fact that I think EC is equivocal to abortion... and is murder in every sense of the word.
